SHAMROCK FARMS: Welcome

Welcome to Shamrock Farms,

We are located in the beautiful rolling hills of Southwest Missouri, just north of the Arkansas border. Our closest town is Cassville. The 115 acres of Fescue, orchard grass & clover with some wooded pasture are home to our herd of Registered Jersey Cattle as well as our Dairy Goats.

Shamrock Farms is a family affair, we have been breeding, milking and showing dairy goats and dairy cattle for 50 years. Our six children grew up on this farm and now our grandchildren have taken over the showing responsibilities in 4-H and FFA. Showing the goats and Jerseys is so much a part of our family and is a tradition that has carried down now to the second and now
third generations.

Our Dairy kids and calves are taken from their dams at birth and fed heat treated colostrum and pasturized milk, our does are on DHIA and we do Linear Appraisal; alternating breeds every year.
We feed Alfalfa and mixed grass hay to our does and cows. The cows are on pasture all year.
The does are let out to graze occasionally, depending on the pasture.

WE do offer a variety of bloodlines for sale in all the breeds of dairy goats that we raise.
Alpines, LaMancha's, Toggenburgs, Oberhasli, Recorded Grades and Nigerian Dwarf goats
Kids can be reserved with a $50 deposit. Full payment is due before the kid is shipped or picked up
at the farm. Kids will be shipped from the Fayettville, AR airport or the Springfield/Branson, MO airport.   Registration and simple health papers will be included in the price of the kid/calf.
Shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer.

Our animals are priced according to their breeding and conformation....prices for kids will
run from $200 to $600, we reserve the right to retain any kid for our own breeding herd, but
will honor any prior reservation on an animal before it is born if at all possible.

Prices on baby calves.....bull calves, when available, will vary according to the going price at the sale barn. Registered Baby Jersey heifers will start at $600. when available....there is a waiting list.   Most will be AI sired from high indexing bulls. We do offer a small line of show type cattle, call for prices on these when available. We also do occasionally have beef cross calves for sale, these are usually reserved in advance with a waiting list. We have a black Semental bull in with the cows right now.
